My mother is having an affair with a married man?

My dad passed away few years ago , I’m ok with my mom being with someone else but I learned the man she sees is married. I don’t know why but I don’t feel the same about her anymore. I love my mother but since I learned she is seeing a married man I feel disgusted. No matter how much she need a man etc I understand but that doesn’t justify or give her a right to see a married man : that man is having a wife and 4 adult children’s. I dot think it’s fair in the eyes of god and universe to do this…. I talked with my mother and she told me “ well nothing wrong here we see each other 1x a week doesn’t hurt and that the man is smart for cheating it’s not her fault” according to my mother the man is so smart the if he can cheat and other man can’t !!
She also told me that life is not how I think so straight and fair. So she is gaslighting me thinking I’m the wrong one and that cheating is ok. When she knows very well my relationship with my ex broke up due to him cheating.
I’m so hurt I don’t know what to do. Because of my mom I don’t think I’ll ever trust men anymore. I’m 30 and confused the hell of my life…

Your Mom has some issues she needs to work on. It may not be hurting him or her but what about you and the man's family. How would she feel if she found out your father had a women on the side? As for you not trusting men. Please know that we are not all pigs! I have never cheated! When I am in a relationship I do not do anything that I don't want my partner to do. I feel if you are needing to look for affection from others then you need to do something to change the relationship you are in. Either work out the problems or move on and let your partner do the same

That highly depends what kind of wife your mother's boyfriend is. We don't know their story. Do you? Are they in a sexless marriage?
Also it sure as death sounds like your mother is the cheating type, who might have cheated on your father in the past.

She likely can't control herself.
