Help yourself first before getting into a relationship. The guy I'm seeing right now *long distance* is busy during the weekdays so we don't chat as often as before (he told me he was crushing on me hard so he talked to me while he worked but that caused him to work extra hours to make-up for the hours he was SUPPOSE to be working). I do take half of the blame with him, its only fair.
Moral of the story, he started to not respond as much as before so I thought he wasn't that interested as before, but with a bit of researching and questioning, I finally understood that we needed an adjustment in our texting schedule.
Now we only chat on the days we have off and its cute. :)
If you're not ready to balance both out or know that its a demanding job, wait a bit until you're ready and then go for it! Hopefully this helped, best of luck! And congratz on getting the job!

Maybe get your job situated first, and then when you think you will have the time to balance your work/personal life in a way that works for both your career and potential partner, think about getting into a relationship. Starting something now, if you don't have the time to invest in her or the relationship might not be the smartest move
Why not talk to the girl and tell her how you feel and be open about the situation? If the roles were reversed and I were in your shoes, I'd appreciate the openness and honesty and would probably be willing to deal with your work situation if you were upfront about it. Might depend on how mature (or immature) she is. Some women (girls) can't handle not being the most important thing in your life.
It maybe a bad idea, because your future girlfriend may expect to get some attention from you all the time, and cheats on you. But, you probably should go out with her. Before other guys go out with her. It could take years before your crush gets taken by someone else, so you don’t have enough time to go out with her.

I’d spend more time getting adjusted to the new job and making sure I can find a healthy balance between work life and personal life before pursuing someone romantically.
