Grooming refers to long term manipulation of a minor with a view to exploiting them later when they are 'legal'.
It is highly unlikely that this has anything to do with the relationship you are describing and simply a matter of you not having the first fucking clue what you are talking about.

Grooming is a dumb concept. Either you did something illegal or you didn't. Whats this having a good relationship with a younger person is beneficial shit. Shouldn't they have someone older to guide them and look up to?
