How would you feel if your boyfriend didn't do anything when you were sick?

So he's been getting me food, and stuff for pain. There was this one instance where he just sat there while I was bent over crying because I was about to vomit feeling nauseous. My mom and aunt were in the living room and they were on me trying to see if I were alright. Like giving me meds, but my step dad was sitting there too and he looked at my boyfriend and was like "he seemed as if he didn't care and was on his phone and if it were him he'd try to rub me up". When my boyfriend left he told my mom to let him know if we needed anything. What do you think?

I think you need to recognize that not everyone’s love language is all that physical touch. Ok so he didn’t rub your back, so what? He was there, taking care of you, giving you meds, etc. Maybe your dad’s “thing” is to rub your mom down, but that should not be the standard for showing affection. Your boyfriend may not be perfect but he is THERE, when he really could have not been. Some girls are lucky to even get called or texted by their boyfriend when they’re sick.

That's true, tbh I didn't really noticed because I was sick lol. I think my step dad just gets in my head at times.

That’s ok, my dad gets the same way and I also respect that he only has the best intentions for me, as I’m sure yours does too. But sometimes they aren’t the most realistic with the very high standard they set for who we date. Your boyfriend sounds like a good dude. Maybe he was on his phone, but if he was there for a long time, it could’ve been just something to preoccupy his time while you rested and all that. I’m just not sure what else your dad would’ve wanted him to do if your boyfriend wasn’t on his phone, since there’s only so much medicine and tending to you he can do without being all in your face and getting sick as well. I think he acted appropriately🙏

He did do something for you, he ask if you needed anything along with food and stuff for pain. Some people aren't into that touching and caring stuff. Some people ( mostly men from what I can see ) are more of fixers rather than emotional damage controllers ( mostly women from what I can see ). Your boyfriend was trying to get things to help you with your sickness and he didn't know what else to do

I think you are probably exaggerating this somewhat. . Your headline claims he did '"nothing' while you were sick. Then you turn around and admit he was getting you food and pain medicine? So which is it?

You also seem to love the attention and drama of being sick. I mean, how many people do you require attending to your needs?

I was going by what my stepdad said. Don't need attention they decided that themselves bit yeah I get people have their own love language
