Why does my girlfriend leave her phone face down?

So I have been seeing my girlfriend now for about 10 months and everything is great when we are together. We live in different cities and see each other maybe twice a week. We are very much in love and plan on living together down the line. Lately something has been bothering me, she has started leaving her phone face down which she never used to do. I casually asked about it one day and she said she likes the look of the new phone case. Thing is, she regularly checks her phone in front of me and I even know her pin (but I would never snoop through another person's phone no matter what). I know a lot of you will say its suspicious behaviour all of a sudden but I do really trust her and just want to know is this normal?

It wouldn't be so much what position she leaves her phone in (Especially since you have the pi's. It's more about whether she even leaves it alone around you at all, like if she goes to the bathroom or something.
Cheaters usually keep their phone on them at all times and get nervous if you ever use it because they're scared that a message from someone else will come through.
They also take any phone conversations to a different room, or suddenly put their phone face down as soon as you enter the room.

She might not want to get get distracted. If she’s on the phone and tilts it away from you that may be a clear sign.

I often leave my phone face down when I'm with others. So notifications and light-ups from my phone won't take my attention and I feel like it's a nice way to be more in the moment with the person.

If someone needs to hide their phone from you, it implies they don't want you to see something, it's only natural to think that. All that "they're trying to give you undivided attention" is rubbish, if that were true they would put it away.

Serial cheaters are more calculated in their movements since it's a regular thing for them. You definitely have the right to be suspicious, especially if she's constantly distracted by her phone (but remains secretive) and or is in another world.
