Long story short - I am seeing a guy for 8 months long distance and he is in arranged marriage for almost 10 years now but lives and works far from the village wife lives in ( he is from a conservative village in Asia ).

He asked me about a financial help which I refused to give and I said that I can’t help him support another woman he is legally with automatically by helping him.

What is between us is between us but I don’t want to do anything with his other life anyhow.

Do you think I made a mistake or I should have given him money?

I know you're not going to like this but you have to break things off before he breaks them off with you. As bad as it will feel, it's going to hurt a LOT more letting him make the decision to end it. He will always have his wife, but you'll be left with nothing AND the thought of him being with someone else.

He barely sees her, once in a few months when goes to see kids. His parents married him to her and divorce is a shame in a village they are from. I do believe he should have divorced tho but I understand his urge to respect the tradition at the same time. I can keep things between us but I don’t really want anything to do with his other life.
