Is this suspicious, was he at another girls house?

So my boyfriend of three years had kidney transplant surgery last year he gave it to his mom. Before his surgery he told me he was going over his friends house they are a engaged couple that just moved into their apartment again that was last year. I just met them a couple months ago and with my boyfriend, they kept showing him things around their house like he’s never been there, I got suspicious because I remembered him saying that he’s been there before a year ago. After a while my boyfriend told them I have been here before just when you guys have moved in. At first they were confused and asked him when it was he gave more context saying they had beer and what not. It triggered one of his friends memory and she said oh yeah it was right before your surgery I chimed in and said oh he said you cooked and she said right I made meatballs which is what he told me so I let it go assuming they forgot since it was a year ago when they had first moved in. Am I overthinking this whole situation? Was he lying? My boyfriend also hasn’t done anything to make me suspicious I’m just naturally untrustworthy

Ask him straight up but nonchalantly. Don't overthink it but don't allow yourself to ignore your instincts. Perhaps speak your opinion on their house and you could ask what he thought originally on the house when he first went there. Things could've simply changed though probably nothing

I did ask and he said he has been there but wasn’t sure because it was a year ago. Then when we got there they said “now you seen our place” and he said I have already and then that’s when they were like “oh that’s right, before your surgery” but I’m overthinking that

It's likely nothing people forget things all the time especially in a year. There would be other signs I'd assume no man randomly cheats one time before a surgery then never again like nothing happened
