Can someone explain one specific relationship double standard that sticks in my craw so much you'd think it were Jerry Seinfelds arch nemesis Newman?

Consider the two following pieces of dialogue.

Scenario 1. Boyfriend says "Hey babe, can you please stop (insert bothersome verb here) so much? It really bothers me.

Girlfriend replies with "What do you mean I'm bothering you, I'm not doing anything wrong?"

Scenario 2. Boyfriend says "Babe I'm failing to understand why you're upset at me, I'm not doing anything wrong."

Girlfriend replies with "What do you mean you're not doing anything wrong, you're bothering me?

I'm sorry but I would rather have a rubber band gun sniper be constantly try to shoot me in the nuts with rubber bands while simultaneously having Queen Latifah crap in my face from a hot air balloon. Every female significant other (yes I feel I have to specify female considering I dated a dude for five years... AND NEVER ONCE HAD THAT PROBLEM) I have been with has done this and I would try to explain why it bothered me and the only effect it would ever have would be to cause said female significant others to do it EVEN MORE once they knew it bothered me... So, as my first post after finally creating an account here just now, I would like 1. to hopefully get insight from a female perspective on this and 2. see if there are other males who have experienced this or if im alone.
