Fiancé said uni was best time of his life to his old mates?

My fiancé text his old mates the other day about meeting up in a city for a night out. He hasn’t seen them on 4 years and he put uni was the best time of my life to them.

Of course this has upset me as uni was a hard time for our relationship and since then so many things have happened. We have a house, got engaged and booked a wedding etc. but he has still said this to his old mates…

The state of a person's life is the totality of many, MANY factors; that may have been a time when things between the two of you were at their roughest, but that's only one part of his life- and even if he thinks of you as the most important part of his life, you aren't the ONLY part of it.

I understand your feelings, but don't borrow trouble. If you must worry, make it about how he feels about you NOW.

I’m sure that after you get married he’ll switch that to it was a good time, instead of the best time of his life. It’s hard to be fond of a time you are still waiting for something like Marriage. After it happens though there will be a lot more memories to remember and cherish I’m sure.
