Bad intimate relationships are in my opinion, a manifestation of deeply buried trauma or fears from childhood -- things like fear of abandonment. Subconsciously, we sabotage our relations with others because our mind never healed from our past and therefore wants to replay tragic events. You'll probably replay these tendencies your entire life, no matter who you're with.
