Is it unfair for a woman to get half?

If she’s been at home raising the kids and taking care of her husband, is it unfair for her to get half of everything? That’s why it started no? I’m primarily speaking of those women who’ve been there since the start.

let’s say he started rich as well, he probably married her because she is very beautiful. Isn’t that also an “equal” exchange of desires in a partner?

I say this because many men are bitter about the arrangement where a woman is staying home and doing a whole job and a half to raise both hers and HIS kids while also taking care of him; but if it doesn’t work out because he cheated or she got bored then she shouldn’t be entitled to anything? Men who think like this do not care about women.

The bitterness, as with any contract, lies in how it is executed. In marriage, a man goes into it honestly without ant hidden agenda besides Family and children. If/When a woman cheats the contract is not executed as agreed too. If she cheats she gets nothing, however, the judicial system has an agenda outside of the contract specifications.

Until you acknowledge that woman's attorney, therefore all women, manipulate the contract then you will not grasp the realities of your singlehood. This is why a prenuptial is required because of the manipulation.

I have never known that to happen. You must unless you’re simply pontificating theoretical. I do know of prenuptial that contracted “what we came with we leave with and sale anything we do jointly short of a trade off of joint resources.” They were married 11years…9 good years.

I mean same rules apply if the women is the breadwinner and the husbands stays home. I personally think entitlement to monies/possessions should be on a case by case basis. However, if anybody is worried about the risk/possibility of losing anything in the future, and having the law decide, then don’t get married. A cohabitation agreement instead will make it real clear who’s entitled to what.

It's a contract whoever breaks it shouldn't be rewarded. If he cheats and lose half, I don't pity him. But if she just get bored and leave it's not right that she takes half with her. If she didn't bring half with her when she entered the relationship. She as a contract breaker should walk out with what she own, nothing of his should she have a claim on.

What are you talking about, none of my examples give him half, one he lose half, which means he had the most. If the cheater has nothing he leaves with nothing. No claim to hers since he broke the contract.

But if she’s a homemaker, she’s doing domestic labor for Him and their family. He’s financially supporting her but she supports him in a way that isn’t directly paid. They’re both putting in the same amount of work, possibly she puts in even more.
It needs to be 50-50 no matter who cheats or else 100-0… if you don’t want to be a hypocrite.
And I’m saying this as someone who HATES cheating and don’t believe in divorce except from it. I’ve never understood the desire to be unfaithful. Honestly I’d be fine with 100-0 in both cases but I don’t think most people would agree.

Not really. My point is she’s working at home on the home and kids. Yeah maybe he won’t get her grandmothers cookbook she brought with her LMAOOOO but they’re a team and she’s sacrificing having her own career to make money to work in a way that’s for her family. It’s both their money and she is entitled to half.

But she is using it up right there and then. She is benefitting from him right there and then. Working and making a career is more of a sacrifice than living a free life, raising the kid and building a family as you want it, all on the back of the bread winner. You can't use the resources and then expect to walk away with even more. She still got the results from her work and most likely the kids on her side. The house the guy probably maintained himself or he payed to fix it up. Unless he broke the contract she really doesn't deserve anything beyond what she already got.

During it she get everything she needs. That he can afford in a reasonable fashion. Who knows what % that is, it al depends on his income. But in the case he is filthy rich it, gives her more than her work really pays on the market during her marriage, she probably even have helpers. So no she doesn't deserve more if it ends. Because being a home maker is a low skill employment and should be compared to one.

It's not unfair if she is actually 100% caring for the kids and the home. If she put her career on hold to be a SAH mom, she deserves half. But let's face it, that is rarely the case today.

The issue men have with this question today is that most women are not SAH mothers and homemakers, but women still tend to get more than half of the assets AND primary custody of the children. For that reason, women benefit more from divorce while men are harmed more by it. That's why half of marriages end in divorce and women initiate 80% of them. And women often use false allegations to benefit them in divorce settlements.

That's why men are bitter about marriage an divorce today.
