What do you think of this guy who had a GOOD job that put up with his wife's abusive behavior - wearing makeup to hide bruisers, etc. - for 20 YEARS?

I know that husband abuse can happen, etc. Anyone can be a victim of domestic abuse.

The thing is, is most abuse victims do not have an easy means to "get away". They don't have a decent job - thus dependent on their abuser for money, etc.

The thing is, is most abuse victims have been isolated from family / friends via their abuser They go to work but may use work as to seek help by slipping up on disguising bruises.

This guy not ONLY had a GOOD job - which he could've EASILY supported himself on

Not only did he purposely & heavily GO out of his WAY TO HIDE the abuse through makeup

He even WILLINGLY brought THREE children into this abuse. It's not like he was raped - as many female victims of domestic abuse are - they attended fucking IVF sessions.

They married in 2003 & he STAYED for TWELVE YEARS before first child in 2015.

I am NOT diminishing what happened but I seriously wonder if he was a masochist to have STAYED when, literally, he could've walked out the door and never looked back for 12 years.

And that someone - a friend, colleague or relative - recently saw the abuse & said WTF is going on why it's come out now.

I think he's an idiot. It's harsh to put it like this, but I can only put it like this. You wanted my honest thoughts. Nobody should put up with abuse and yet many of them do, you're the friend with the objective point of view and they know you can be trusted but when it comes to love and the destructive relationship they're having, they ignore you and turn into complete idiots. It makes me more mad at them than the abuser.

Most abuse victims have no alternative as I said. A lot of them are dependent on their abuser for money, etc. What are they supposed to do instead, live on the street?

This guy is unique in that he doesn't fit the norm of abuse. He had many, many, many ways in which to get away and yet he didn't only put up with it he willingly had kids with his abuser.
