Wow ! That's philosophy at the highest level. Difficult to choose only one, but since many years I came to understand number 2: "Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance." A hell of a truth. I also consider very important number 3: "Hold faithfulness and sincerity as first principles."

Socrates said something very similar to #2. He said, the only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing.

That's indeed a good state of mind to start with. On the other hand that very small quantity of knowledge we may acquire allows nevertheless to lift a little corner of the huge veil covering the Universe. Sometimes that caught glimpse is terrifying.

Very true, what you said about knowing a little about something that allows us to learn more. The way I look at that saying, is " The more I learn, the more I learn I do not know." In other words--knowledge is infinite and almost impossible to know everything.
