Would you break up with someone who is a racist?

I almost married a girl once who was a racist. I found out near the end of our relationship when she started talking about how people of different racist shouldn't have rights, along with other atrocious words coming out of her mouth. She and her mother both were like this. I called them both out one day after they both went on and on about it.

The other day I was thinking if we would have gotten married, I would have had a hard time with this. Luckily, her cheating on me made it easier to walk away, but I was thinking what would have happened if I didn't.

Would you stay with someone who is a racist? Would you put up with it? Or would you break it off?

I should add, this girl's family was racist too. She and her mother would talk about shooting people of different colors if they stepped onto their property. Some of the horrid and atrocious things that came out of their mouth turned my stomach.

I understand racism is everywhere. People who hate that bad have their own problems, and I hope they find peace one day.
