I’m the kind of person where every time I mess up/make a mistake, I get down on myself to the points of tears and self-loathing. Making a mistake can put me in a sorry mood for the rest of the day and I question if I can ever just be a normal person. By common mistakes I mean driving mistakes, saying something I regret, or behaving in a way I regret because I’m taking it out on others, just for examples. I’m very graceful when it comes to other people making similar mistakes that I do, but I just feel like an inferior person for how often I mess up things that shouldn’t be too hard to avoid

I know how you feel. I remember and kick myself for a long long time over dumb mistakes I've made, things I've said, whatever. I wish I could give some advice on how to stop, but I can't because I have the same problem

To be honest SHIT HAPPENS! As for me I rather try & fail rather than not try at all & if things don’t exactly go your way don’t make a mountain out of a molehill.
Maybe you have imposter syndrome. Talk to a therapist.
