Why is the best piece of dating advice you have ever gotten?
Which I took to mean, never stop taking her out, never stop putting in the effort.
An old guy talking to me at the grocery store “don’t accept a man unless if he is willing to take you on different adventures every week” and I’ll stand by it because he’s right. A man willing to at least take one day out of his week to make it about you and him exploring something new , is more likely to be the man to keep putting efforts into the relationship
I've never received any particularly insightful and memorable dating advice.
But my sister said something once, about people, that stuck with me. And she was right. "Focus on similarities. We humans are more alike than dislike."
Damn right!

My best piece of dating advice came from my mother. She told me, "Don't make your partner feel like they are your whole world, because then it creates too much pressure and can become a source of anxiety for them."
I took this to mean that it's important to show your partner how much you care about them, but it's also important to allow them their own space and independence, and not to smother them or make them feel like they're your only source of happiness.
"What's meant for you won't pass you by"
