Does talking about exes make your significant other mad? Should it?

I would like to tell my girlfriend about ex girlfriends and what I learned through the relationships.

When I pass by places exes and me have interacted I bring it up to start talking about them but my current girlfriend doesn't like hearing about it. Is that normal jealousy and will she get over it because I'd like for her to know about my exes

It is completely normal that she gets upset. You are walking into a minefield without any good reason.

Statistically, she is your next ex, so she should be glad that you will continue to talk fondly about her, but this type of calm logic is not open to most people, women or men.

If the purpose is to talk about what you’ve learned so you don’t have make the same mistake, then tell her you’d like to have that conversation at her convenience so she is prepared. Then have it and be done. Be respectful of your exes so she feels safe.
But do NOT continue to use the city or random opportunities as talking points to bring up your exes. It would get tiring real fast if my partner did that to me. Like here we go again…and I would begin to wonder if he isn’t over them

tbh, if my s/o did that and we broke up, THAT would be a lesson worth discussing with my new partner-don’t talk about your exes so much.

As someone else said, you’re in the present, so live in the present. Don’t drag her into the past every time it suits you. Not everyone wants that.
So, have your conversation of “what I learned”, then drop it. For good.

why don't you suggest she talks about her exes? so that she understands where you're coming from? that you're not trying to make her jealous but rather share experiences with each other.

I don't understand you want to communicate about your exes yet you can't even communicate to your girlfriend as to why you want to communicate about your exes.

You can talk about your memories but not bring up the ex in particular. Like oh i have been here before and the food was wonderful. And if she asks who did you go with you can then say your ex but without focusing on the ex. If she doesn't ask, then don’t mention your ex.
If you find yourself thinking about the memories with your ex a lot, maybe you need to work that out yourself before committing to your girlfriend?
