Girls, Is it ok to demand an explanation from a girl who suddenly changed her mind about having sex with me?

I have this female friend and a while ago we started having sex, it all went good until one day she told me that she didn't want it anymore and that she never really felt comfortable about it, even though I would always ask if she was sure before we did it, and she was always the one making the first move. She would also tell me how much she enjoyed it and talk about all the things she'd like to try with me. I don't know what happened, I'm confused and honestly don't know if she's the problem or if it's me. The few times I tried to ask her why, she would just reply by saying "I just don't want it" and change the topic. I really want to understand what happened here. Should I insist for an explanation or live with the uncertainty that something similar may happen again in our relationship?
