Graduation Gifting?

Ok... So my boyfriend and I have been friends for 3 years coming up this upcoming summer. We began strongly bonding January of 2023. We finally began dating in July of 23. Our one year anniversary will be soon and so I came up with the idea of a relationship timeline for his gift.

We are a long distance relationship and I rarely can afford to ship things. We prefer more sentimental things anyway. Materials hold little meaning. The one thing that holds meaning are our promise rings.

He is graduating from some classes this April. Because we are in a long distance relationship, it is harder to gift him things. I want to give him something special to remember. Unfortunately I cannot go to where he is and attend the graduation nor can I ship anything.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Send him money to buy a class ring, or graduation memorabilia and specify he cannot use the money for anybody else. This way you can use him as a proxy for your absent hands and fingers and buy him a gift that fits his graduation theme.

yeah, i dont like when people say these things but it is not my opinion to take. you may feel how you feel about the situation, that is fine by you. many people told that the relationship would not last 2 months and here we are at 7. they might not me "real" but they can become something. my grandparents met online, ldr for a while. my parents had to do it for a long time. many other people spent years as ldrs before marrying the person. you have your opinion, and if youd like to share more, id be happy to hear more about why you believe what you believe
