my boyfriend has a female friend that’s a really dear friend to him. they used to work together and spend A LOT of time together even after work. Although he never admitted liking her to me, many of his former colleagues say they thought he was into her since he was always very affectionate and all over her in the work place. He also has loads of posts with pictures of her on his social media and only one picture of me. He always says how much she changed him as a person for the better, he still keeps seeing her regularly and always says how amazing she is. our relationship seems to be going great and we feel in love (although we’re together only 6 months..) and he tells me she’s just a friend I can’t help but worry about it a little.. not to mention the girl is gorgeous, smart and fun to be around. What do you guys think, is it possible he has feelings for her that he’s not telling me about?

I broke up with a guy after a year due to his opposite sex friendship. Their closeness was strange to me, how fond he was of her and all that. I eventually found out (from one of his best friends who got too drunk one night) that she rejected him at least 3 times prior and he was secretly in love with her. When I confronted him he gaslit the hell out of me, took no ownership and of course we broke up. I’m not saying this is your situation, I’m just saying don’t ignore the red flags how I did. Opposite sex friendships can work with certain boundaries in place. Without them, it becomes too uncomfortable and inappropriate, and you shouldn’t subject yourself to that.

Sometimes friends when it comes to guy. Are interested in the girl that’s just a friend. But if the girl, let him know. We are just friends and that’s it. He would accept it as just being friends. He will always be there for her as she only sees him as a friend. I would just Recommend you to be friends with her that way you can see it yourself.
