Maybe you just need to find the guy who wants that (instead of trying to change your own nature).

Though, if you want to stop doing that, your best bet is to never see any guy you spend time with as a date, but spend time with guys based on enjoying or not enjoying their company. That will put it in their courts to try to aswade you of how they see the relationship (then you can see if you match up).

Though personally I think my first sentence is the best advice, don't change yourself here, just look for the guy sharing your dream.
