I'm not afraid of death, but I'm afraid I'll be forgotten forever. Anybody else related?

Even if I am famous by some degree, I'll be possibly remembered for a few decades after my passing. But then? I'll be forgotten and vanish through the pages of history.

For example there were sure many popular musicians and singers during the late 19th century, who were very famous when they were alive. But does anybody even know them nowadays? They're also vanished in history.

Death is inevitable. But what hurts more is that you'll be vanished in history, like you never existed at all.

We're all forgotten eventually. Even people who know about us later will never "know" you or me.

The best thing to do is leave the world in a better state so that our legacy will live on even if people have no clue who we were specifically or what we did.

After death, we'll all be either remembered or forgotten by Christ.

Eventually, like all of us, you almost certainly will be forgotten. How many people can you name who were alive in the 14th century? I could guess at one or two.
