Everyone one else in the republican primary didn't even seem to give a shit about the issues. The conservative news and Republican party itself was constantly shilling for George Bush, it didn't matter that nobody actually wanted to vote for him. They had decided in advance that he was the guy that was going to push forward their own interests. Just as the Democratic party and liberal news decided in advance that Hillary was going to get the nomination and push forward their own interests.
