Why is my guy friend opening up to me, what does that mean? He opened up to me the other night and I'm like cool. I am not gonna judge him on his past by why did he feel it was so important that he open up about himself?

Is it a sign? or is it just that he trusts me as his best friend who happens to be female. I don't know why he always hid it away from me. But I still like him so it doesn't matter to me.

Depends on what he opened up to you with.. But most likly he wanted to open up to you so you'll open up to him.. :)
