Do you agree with what my stepdad had to say to me and my brother about generations and their traits?

My stepdad is Gen X. I'm Gen Z. My brother (of whom is biologically related to my stepdad) is Gen Alpha.

Here are the traits my stepdad pointed out:

Boomers: they don't get it

Gen X: best generation ever, sees both sides (still old school, but with new ways of doing these things), thick-skinned

Gens Y, Z, and Alpha (same sh*t to him): very tech-savvy, but very sensitive "crybabies" who lash out at inequality and words

For the record he prefers not having his politics disclosed but he's stated that he's far from either a Democrat or a Republican.

Agree, those are facts

Disagree, those are just his opinions

I had to agree... I'm a mix of gen x to Millennials... I'm like where the transition took place.

I watched my peer group mostly do switch from Metallica and punk music to gangster rap. I stayed with the gen x crowd... and could only relate with the wannabes through the violence. I still think real music is where someone can actually play an instrument.

But yeah... Boomers, the ones that will tell you to go to college and buy a house, but seem oblivious that both cost about HALF A MILLION DOLLARS!!! It's like they're unaware that you can no longer just work at McDonalds and pay for a college degree, 2 cars, and buy a house and eventually move on and become rich (or middle class). They don't get it.

The younger generations... fucking whiners. They cry about everything. I watched that transition as well where everyone started out thinking it was cool to have depression... now they think they're special for having anything from autism to being transgender or something. These kids thinks it's cool to do things like be trans to get with gay chicks. I feel sorry for them though because they usually have no chance of even actually paying off their first car.

Not all... a lot of them are blessed... the ones that make all the noise though... you can see it.
