Apollo's moon landings were in a warehouse in Texas? Oswald did not act alone in the Kennedy assassination? MH380 was a spy plane? 911 was a government plot? FDR knew in advance that Japan was attacking Pearl Harbor?

Well... here is the latest one. The person delivering the State of the Union SOTU address was not Joe Biden? His mannerisms, gestures and inflection don't match previous speeches. Some say it was a double. Others, a robot. Maybe even an alien from Area 51 made up to look like Joe.

Or maybe it was the real Joe Biden delivering an over-rehearsed speech?

While I love a good conspiracy theory, I think they just gave him something to boost his brain function for a short time. He probably slept for two days afterward. I tried an OTC brain supplement that helped my memory a lot but it also wore my brain out. If I was going on a game show I would take one.

Conspiracy theories are no longer conspiracy theories. Now, since the explosion of social media platforms, you get enough people that believe stupid shit that it spreads. I lost hope in humanity with the whole Q thing. Seriously, intelligent people I know, who I grew up with, some with PhD’s were falling for that stuff. Like what the hell? So, no, it wasn’t a body double. It was Joe Biden delivering on the speech of his life. His stumbles were predictable and happened when he got most excited. He was prepared for the boos and other crap. And, he had command to move beyond just sitting there and waiting for applause lines.

That was Joe Biden, the one I know. I’ve always his speeches, from the very first one he made after becoming president, to his state of the union addresses and the in between ones, and yes, the one he made last week. At the White House correspondents dinner, he made some good jokes My favorite:

The topic that should be on people's minds is that with deep fakes becoming increasingly more sophisticated, there will come a time when what you see on TV or social media, etc. will not just be a distortion, but a complete fabrication. But because of the power and reach of the media, that AI generated fiction will be viewed as irrefutable fact.
