Ballroom Dancing, would you do it?

Like swing, which is really fun, waltz, cha cha, rumba, salsa, and tango, which is the sexiest and most romantic, along with the salsa. Would you guys consider taking lessons with your girlfriend if she asked you to? Would you go to a dance where you could only do ballroom dancing after you learned how? why or why not?

I have done ballroom dancing. At my dance school the owner knew I was paying for my classes by myself and she knew I wanted to take more classes, so she threw me into other classes for free. Ballroom was one of them.

My boyfriend actually asked if we could do dancing lessons together, as he is really shy and doesn't dance, but obviously he wants to learn. It really surprised me, but I've always wanted to take lessons, so I'm really excited. :D

I am looking into lessons hence the late response. I want to get better but not sure if I need a partner to go to lessons or just work with whoever is there. As for the sexiest, Pasa Doble, very much the man's dance. I think I like ballroom types because you really are physically close to your partner in a artistic way unlike grinding on the club floor, not that that is a bad thing.

Whether or not you'd need a partner would depend on the studio I guess. They may require that you have a partner, or they may not. You'd just have to ask and see. And yes, I agree with why you like ballroom, I feel the same way. I would rather ballroom dance than grind any day. And it is way more romantic and fun, in my opinion.

I think its sort of silly really - no offence. I can see the appeal but I never got into it. If my lover wanted to go I'd go, though. And it might change my mind to the whole thing.

i would take them with my girlfriend, but I would give her a warning beforehand. xD. I'm a musician, not a dancer. xD. but if I liked her a good amount, I would definetely go with her.

Sure. We took dance lessons before we got married so we wouldn't look like oafs on the dance floor. Opinions vary on if we wasted our money :- )
