Do you feel like the best vacations are short/long, planned/unplanned? Why? (Page 2)

For me, I like a short vacay of like 4 days, 3 nights or 3 days, 2 nights. Anything shorter is too short. Anything longer is too long. And i like for it to be planned in terms of what I’d do and where I’d stay. But i like it to be unplanned as to when I’ll actually go. Thats about the most spontaneous I’ll get . Like I had been planning to go to Vegas since I was 12. The goal was to go by 21 but it always got postponed because I was trying to wait around for others to be financially ready. I had already knew where I’d stay/play/shop, what I’d sightsee/visit/eat once there. But i just never knew when I’d actually get to go. All my men and friends kept making up excuses. My job was never gonna cut me break. So one day, I just up and said, fck it, I’m going with or without y'all and fck that job too. I booked the reservations and had a brilliant time for the days I stayed. I did it again for North Carolina. Once I get back in the groove, I’ll just keep planning things to do but not the actual date for when I’ll do it. Next stop is hopefully Dallas or Miami/Tampa/Orlando but I dread the 5-6 days I’ll be gone since I’ll need about 2 days per city. Then after that will likely be NYC or Bahamas or Canada. Now when it comes to Aspen or Australia, I refuse to go alone. I need a witness in case fall down a mountain or get attacked by a shark, croc, spider or snake 😭 #FeelFreeToList #VacationsAlliEverWanted

  Yeah, I prefer to sleep at home, plus most of my hobbies can only be done at home, so I don't like to be away for long.

  Lol i actually wouldve. It can't be as unworth it as vegas attractions. I rode their Ferris wheel to overlook the city but it was more like all the building covering the strip so you ha dto turn backwards to visit two hotels far off into the desert sand behind the parking lot 😂

  They have one in falls too. Clifton Hill & Lundys Lane are the tourist areas. The casinos etc. there's also Marineland but they’ve had same rides since its open and questionable animal treatment. Go a few streets beyond that its ghetto.

  Im not afraid of the hood. And i only intend to be in Canada for 3-4 days. 2 days in Toronto and maybe 2 in Alberta at Lake Louise

I have taken both and enjoyed both thoroughly, i think it depends more on how much time is available for vacations

Honestly, no! My best trips were in 2019 (Vietnam, Florida) and both were planned half a year before

I've had great vacation on both short term and long term planning. I've had bad one with the same. So it could go either way for me.

  Yea but always have a backup plan too because man my vegas airport shuttle chose to drop me off last despite passing my hotel first and i was pissed. I had to do everything 2 hours late
