How do guys act around the girl they rejected?

How do guys act around the girl they rejected? Some guys ignore them, act cold and weird around them. why?

Simple. I'll list some reasons.
1. To kill all hope of getting him. This is simple; he acts cold and professionally friendly if she gets too close, this in an effort to put her in place and make her give up all hope. In the long run, this is one of the better options. For this option it usually only happens when she does certain things (getting too friendly etc)
2. She did so first. Seriously, girls, you do this. Just accept it, both genders act cold and distant. Usually if one person does it all the time, the other one does too.
3. He simply wasn't into her in the first place, and her love-clouded mind prevented her from realizing he was always acting cold and distant.
4. (this applies mainly to breakups). She goes from being his girl, to being just another girl. He's not really acting cold, but since she goes from beign his to being another girl, it feels like he's acting cold because she've never felt him behaving like that before.

young guys act differently that mature men. Mature men can treat a woman like a friend and try to make her feel that his rejection was not about her, but about his own tastes. Young guys often simply ignore a girl, as if she was invisible. Don't let it bother you - they eventually grow up.

they usually act like that because the girl is also acting off too, or she is pissed because the guy is acting normal so she goes cold or ignores, then he just does the same.

Not with me. The next day after he rejected me I acted normal and was in a good mood at work. On the other hand, HE was the one who tried to avoid me. We're very friendly before, so I know when he's avoiding me.

Haha, shit I completely misread that. OK. I'll answer without being an ass. They might feel awkward like they don't know how to handle the situation so its best to leave her alone. Or they might think the girl doesn't want anything to do with the guy. Its a delicate situation handling someone else's feelings after rejecting them and I don't think anyone, guy or girl, does a good job at it.

I think he might be doing it for the same reason girls do it to guys. They don't want to lead you on and give you false hope. Or he might feel awkward himself. Or he's not interested in being friends with you. Or he's an idiot.
