Guys, if your girl makes you lunch for work, is that embarrassing?

So I like doing things like this because he's working so hard all day.
In his old job, I used to make him lunches sometimes, not every day, he used to buy lunch too. Sometimes hot things he can reheat at work, sometimes just huge sandwiches, then treats like cookies or cake.

Now, I was reading this forum and some woman said she made her man cupcakes to take to work all the time and all these replies saying she's embarrassing him by doing that, and all his work friends would laugh at him.

He started a new job now, and I want to do the same.
Will it be embarrassing if I make him some chicken or something for work on Monday?
Are things like cakes and cookies more embarrassing than other food?
Would you be embarrassed if your girl did that and would you laugh at other guys at work if they would keep bringing food or cake that his girl made him for packed lunch?

I don't really care if my coworkers have a problem with it. At the end of the day those other people don't really care and they are just teasing the guy. Her making me food means she cares about me enough to do that. Besides, her making me lunch means less money spent. I would hope she knows what I like and what I don't though.

Also, giving him cakes and cookies may not be the best thing. Every once and a while yes, but you should give him something that is good for him and won't leave him wanting more. Sandwiches and chicken are good. They are very high in protein which make you feel full longer. Too many sweets can cause cravings.

You know, maybe it depends on his industry but I can't imagine anyone in my industry making fun of him. I mean, packed lunches usually really suck so if the lunch was nicer than normal, wouldn't that be nice? I say you do whatever feels right and if he doesn't like it, he'll let you know. I'll bet he'll love it though.

He's always said he likes it, and genuinely does seem grateful. But after hearing it can be really embarrassing for a guy, I wondered if he was just being nice to me about it just because I'd made the effort. Sometimes people don't like to say they don't like something if somebody made an effort for them.

Right, I agree there. But if it were REALLY bad, he would tell you. Either that or he'd throw away the lunch, go out to eat and just not let you know. ;-)

Number of reasons they acted like that. I would relish the moment personally, and make them look stupid. Regardless, there is nothing wrong with preparing food for your man, especially if it's healthy for him.

Yeah cupcakes wouldn't be a good idea for my career field since I'm a professional trainer lol.

I don't think there's anything embarrassing about that at all. Including the cookies and cake. If it were I, and some guys thought that was weird, it wouldn't bother me at all.
