i play beer league hockey and every guy in the locker room shaves for hygienic reasons and this is what we used. One word, conditioner, every girl has it. After you have shaved everything up, clean any loose hairs up, lather some conditioner on there, rub her in and leave it, the conditioner will soften up the little hairs causing the itch to not always go always go away(it sometimes does) but a lot less then it would be without, as the itch it usually when the hair starts growing back in

Go to the drug store and get a shick quattro for women, they do not leave razor stubble or bumps behind. Try baby oil or any type of conditioner. Put on Vaseline after you have shaved or you can try on some scent free moisturizing lotion. Try cortizone cream. And when you shave, shave perpendicular to the direction of the hair growth (someone told me - it works).
yeah, like Squizz said, you can use conditioner or aftershave gel (Skintimate works wonders). They key is to keep applying it everyday as the hair grows back, since it itches because it's pushing back through the skin. and try not to wear underwear/bathing suit bottoms with super tight elastic on the sides.

someone told me that a lot of exotic dancers use unscented deodorant to keep red bumps and itch at bay. just don't put it "in" yourself. put it "on". cause that can be bad. good luck. I have this problem too. :]
