Does anybody else forget what their partner looks like?

I dont understand why i keep forgetting my boyfriends face, i dont see him for a week and his face is all blurry. Until i see his picture then it all comes back but he's the only one whos face i always forget. Does anybody else experience this?

I do. But i have a condition that means i do that with all faces (and faces dont go blurry for me they just dont register. I remember details by concentrating on my short term memory and if theyve already been discarded from short term memory, then i can rely only on long term. (Long term only gives me tall, skinny, really into Doctor Who.

Maybe you idealize them so you picture him looking different then he does. I did it too when I was younger.

Never. I can tell you every stupid detail of my exes face and it's been to long for me to remember.

Nope. I'll never forget her face, or her voice, no matter how long we're apart. In fact, sometimes, the thought of that is the one thing that keeps me going on.

I don't forget the face. But the detail goes blurry. The essence stays the same. The other thing they say, is that you forget peoples' voices pretty quickly =/

Hmmm, sometimes when my boyfriend hasn't visited in a few weeks, we kiss, and I don't feel like he's real. It takes a few hours for everything to sink in.

Sometimes I do when I see or hang out with someone that looks really similar to him, and then when I try to remember his, I blank out briefly. But I live with him now so it's not as frequent.
