He broke with me because he is busy, will he change his mind?

Our relationship was the best we both ever had (he told me that). He's in his last year of medical school and moving around states for placement. He told me he can't be fully committed at this time because of distance and how busy is he (100 hours a week) and that it is not fair to me. He say this was a very hard decision to break things off. We had 10 months left of long distance... I've tried to explain other things that we could do to make it work but he said he can't at this time. Will he change is mind about us after he's done medical school?

I really did not see this relationship ending because we had such great communication, never fight and had great times together.

Those are the best!!! I'm sorry you are going through this. Give it time but don't wait for him and honestly just disappear. If he loves you he will come back. In the meantime even though it's hard keep yourself busy. Go out on dates with your friends or even guys!! Even though you might now want to at the moment but just think of it like he might not come back. This world takes many turns and you never know but it's not fair for you to wait on him. Also Pray! Pray everyday this has helped me so much when I'm going through difficult situations. Put God first in everything that you do. He places us right where we need to be and guides us. If he would give us everything at once we would forget about him. Sometime he puts us in difficult situations so that we can seek him. Stay strong and focus on your relationship with God so that you can be ready for everything else that life throws at you
