Why would my ex now ignore me after meeting up?

My ex and I broke up -four years ago. We started texting each other again but have never talked in person. One day, she asked if we can meet in person at a coffee shop and I accepted. We talked for an hour and talked about out lives. The met-up was brief as we had to get back to work. However, on our way out we noticed that someone hit her car, I offered to help her with the issue. But, she decline and laughed about the situation since it was only small scratch. Overall she seem fine about it and we had a fun chat.

Four days passed and I decide to text her again. I asked her how she was doing. She never responded back again and left me on read. Why would my ex now ignore me after meeting?

Should I send her another text? asking why she is ignoring me or should I leave her alone.

The way I see it is that a relationship is not always like an Amazon shipping box - people might fit more than one option into a single container, and people might buy products they do not intend to keep. She may have been considering 3 or 4 guys or have experienced 3 or 4 guys over the previous year and been debating between her options. There is no guarantee she met you with a deep desire for reconciliation, she could have been curious and afraid of missing out. Maybe her mind was 90% made up before she met you that day. And maybe it wasn't. Don't beat yourself up if you can help it, because human behaviour is impossible to explain. I'm not saying its easy to deal with something you consider significant in your life, but try to trust in the universe and release your grip over the situation. It will make you feel better.

Ah the good old meet an ex story, oh how we never learned the first time..
I'd just go about my life and not ask her anything, whatever she was looking for that day, comfort, combat boredom, to see if you are happy or not without her... She got it and has left you hanging.
Chalk it up and don't do it again. She contacts you again, leave her on read. Wants to play games then leave her to play games, you're a human being and you're feelings shouldn't be toyed with

Maybe you mentioned something that triggered a negative emotion or reaction in her. It could also be maybe she expected something to have changed about you, but it didn't change. I'm not too sure.

I call that the "not as expected" effect. It could have happen to me, but I never met my LD ex in person.
