Can my friends with benefits feel more about me?

So there’s a guy we’ve had sex with a couple of times (I’ve known him for years). He says he doesn't feel anything for me. However, I noticed when we are together he can’t take his hand off me, he keeps touching a lot, compliments me, holds my hand while walking. He often asks about my ex-boyfriend or other guys. He asks why I feel this great sexual attraction to him. Sometimes it feels like he's testing the waters. He talks to me about marriage/his future wife or just generally even about his future and what he wants to do.
I don’t feel the need to talk about things like that, but he always brings it up and he wants to know more about me.
Last time I was in his city and he wanted to meet me and show me a nice place, but I didn’t have time for that.
Part of the story is that I currently live abroad for 1 year and he also works in another country.

I'm in a similar situation, although he doesn't talk about all those things.

Some guys like to fish around when they ask stuff. Part of me thinks this is to test the waters, however, he culd just be rambling on for the sake of discussing stufd he would like to talk about.
I think its a hard one, if he says he doesn't have feelings then I'd take his word. Maybe see what happens later down the line

People in friends with benefits arrangements seem to be confused a lot.
They want a real relationship, but they're scared of it for good reason.
So they get fucked, but companionship, partnership, love and intimacy is always missing.
Some people are absolutely fine with that and others seem to have a breakdown eventually because they want more, but they're trapped in this mindless, casual sex addiction and cycle.
The years fly by with nothing to show for it.
Your fuck buddy is probably lonely sometimes and confused and not sure what he's doing.
Friends with benefits arrangements are cool, but they're a dead end for people who want more.
