Does anyone else feel lost in life? I do I don't know what to do anymore, what's the point of going to college if you can't work in your field?

Besides college, I still don't know how to drive, never had a sex life or dating life, don't live independent at all, feel like I'm not doing anything with my life. Just living and playing games to pass the time? I'm about to be 27 and still don't have anything to my name and don't really know what I'm trying to achieve. Let, alone get a house or finding a wife and kids. Does anyone else feels like this?

Most of my peers are married or traveling and I feel stuck. So any advice

What they don’t tell you when you go to college is that the average positive difference in earning potential that college provides is skewed by the relatively small number of people who draw huge compensation after college. The median benefit, which is more reflective of outcomes for most people, is much smaller. Some degree programs are not worth the investment.

If your degree is not getting you work, you need to stop thrashing and trying to make it work. Put it behind you. Instead, it is a great time to go to trade school and learn welding, HVAC, electrician work, plumbing, or etc. The cost is much less than college and you can get a certificate much more quickly than getting another college degree. Skilled laborers are in demand and skilled laborers with good business sense have a chance at starting their own business after they master a trade. After you complete an apprenticeship, if you pick up some specializations the earning potential is great.

When my degree and career experience were rendered worthless due to changes in the economy and regulations, I had to go a different direction. It wasn’t easy to know where to begin. I completely understand the feeling of disorientation and being lost. When the path you were on dead ends, you must take a first step in a different direction. Take action now, as in today. If I were a young man like yourself, I would immediately set up a meeting with a trade school or community college and learn about getting certified as a skilled laborer, financial aid options, and job placement rates for their programs. I think if you do this you will not regret it.

make yourself responsible for your own... or your mother will enable your lack of responsibility and self worth and nothing will really change

we have spoken about it before... there's no easy way out of this, and no magic potions

first, you need to be a responsible adult yourself, just try it... don't keep denying it any longer

I have had the same feelings that you are feeling but not for the same reasons. But I have felt hopeless before like nothing matters or failing to see the point in anything at all. So trust me even if u have a sex life or a career or money or work in the trade you want to work in, we can always still find other reasons to end up with the same feelings of hopelessness and like nothing matters.. just as an example, when you have no sex life or dating life it feels very lonely and depressing and hopeless at times, but on the other hand say you're overwhelmed with dates and meeting or hooking up with multiple people and getting plenty of love and attention, that can also feel hopeless and pointless because all the relationships feel empty or you feel used like you can get plenty of attention but not one of them truly loves or cares about you. At times like that you get to a point where you would love nothing more than to just be left alone and be completely alone and away from any sexual interactions or getting attention from the opposite sex. So it kind of sucks that it's human nature to find a way to feel negative in any situation. So there really is no Escape other than working on figuring out how to force yourself to view the positive side and all these situations.

Step 2. Get your driver's permit (if you can't borrow a car and someone to help you, can can use a driving school.
Step 3. Get a better job or enroll in college.

Maybe you should have a therapy session with a life coach? They might help you to focus and redirect towards some attainable goals.
They may have you take some personality and aptitude tests which suggest to you what industries might suit you best. But they also counsel on your personal life and relationships.
There are a lot of things that have changed now because of the pandemic, so you probably have the option to meet them in person (which is far more productive and inspiring), or if you prefer, over video chat.

People accomplish things by setting realistic and attainable goals and then devising plans to reach those goals. If you are waiting for good things to simply happen to you, it will be a long wait.

At your age and being a man you should really focus on your career. Having a college degree is helpful but there are many jobs that don't even require one but can give you a great career in the long run. If you're not happy where you are, try to get a different job, get a driving license. Otherwise you're on a path of becoming a lifetime loser.

I have felt lost in life, but not that bad. I focused on my career. Not at all what I ever imagined I'd be doing, but it helped me get a house and a car and other stuff.

You should try to focus on yourself at least and becoming more independent, learn to live on your own. There are companies out there that will teach you to drive, you pay them a fee and you can learn in their vehicle.

Damn, you should go to your local community college and speak to a career counselor. You already have a college degree and there are lots of carers that so not care what the degree is in. They just want somebody that saw college through to the end and can add, subtact and spell. Then make a plan and push yourself to take the first step. I know it is hard and it is scary. It is not as uncommon ad it was when I did it.
Get your fucking drivers license too before you are too old to drive.

Maybe you could consider taking a risk and learning something new everyday? Getting that driver's permit and borrowing someone's car to do the final test. You'd feel accomplished and good about it for sure. I did!
