Do you think changing appearance can make you fall out of love?

I know people said dont judge a book by it cover.. See his personality and bla bla bla...
But what if your boyfriend/girlfriend ask you about some spesific style let say piercing / get tattoo / dye hair with bright color/braid hair/etc... And in that case you say to your boyfriend/girlfriend that you dont like it... But then next week your boyfriend/girlfriend do it anyway... how do you feel about it? I know we can't change people.. But first time you know him/her its not like that... and they change their appearance... that appearances might not change his personality... But how do you see his/her action which ignoring your opinion and just do whatever he/she wanted? Since its his/ her body anyway

I dated somebody for 4 years. It was long distance and we saw each other only 2 or 3 times a year. She always had long blonde hair. THe last time I went out to see her she shows up at the airport wearing this filthy hoodie and she had cut her hair and had some weird perm done to it and it was actually combed over to one side. She told me that she almost forgot to pick me up at the airport. Between the weird hair and the slovenly appearance and telling me she almost forgot about me all of a sudden I did not see her the same way and it was sort of the beginning of the end for her.

Well your story is similar to mine (ldr)... it make me sad that i told him before that i dont like it but he still do it anyway... And it make me scared, cause it feels like he doesn't care my opinion..
After she changed, does it change your feelings to her? Or what the effect to your relationship?

I really did not see her the same way. I tried to get past it but it as as if I was finally seeing her the way she really was and not some version of her maybe I had in my mind. A couple of months later I called her on the phone one Saturday night and broke up with her.

Appearance represents who they are. If they changed their Vibes completely then yes we can fall out of love. Love isn't all about personality. Looks is a part of the criteria

Yes... There was this one guy I really liked long ago. We weren't dating, but he was so handsome. Had a sharp jawline, unblemished skin and one day... he grew a beard and stache and it grew more and more to the point that I couldn't see his jawline any more. I couldn't see nearly half his skin on his face, and he looked so much older. I lost interest in him right away. Damn, and he was so good looking to. But it's his choice to do whatever he wants with his body. xD

Absolutely. One ex got his ears pierced and an uglyass hairstyle despite me telling him beforehand that its a turnoff and he did it anyways. So I don't know if he thought i’d change my mind or if he did it in hopes of breaking up, but we certainly broke up that same month. He looked like he wanted to crossover to being a female. No I wouldn't give a damn I'd still love them no matter what. Appearance doesn't matter to me I just like who the person is and i would accept them. I get that some might not like how they would look and slowly drift away from them but I wouldn't care.

Hell I started wearing women's clothing because I like the look and style.

My wife still loves me just the same.

And no I don't dress like a crossdresser. I wear mostly jeans, legging style pants.
