He is 18 and I am 22 years old. I’m not a 100% sure that this guy friend likes me, but lately he starts to act like he does has feelings for me. For example, he stares at me a lot especially when I am not looking, and look down or away really quickly when getting caught. Not only that, but he can look, talk, and be himself around others. However, with me he does the opposite. He avoids eye contact with me when we are close, but look at me intensely when we are across the room. I didn’t expect I will like him because the problem is he is 4-5 years younger than me, I prefer a guy to be the older because younger guys are really immature and I want to feel protected. I have no idea why I fall for him. I know he is a shy guy, and he probably want me to do something about it. I honestly don’t mind making the first move myself, but what stops me from doing it is the age gap between us. Plus, my parents and would be upset at me if they find out, and others would judge me for dating someone that young.
These past few days, I have been thinking about this issue a lot whether or not I should give this guy a chance, or I should try to forget about him.
