How can I stop attracting older men and start getting guys my age to approach me?

Im a high school seniors I’m 18 but im not interested in like guys over 21 or so. Whenever I go out in public I also get a ton of attention/approaches from guys in their 40’s up while guys my age never seem to bat an eye in my direction

I’m not dressing in a way that seems older. I have a pretty young adult face so I should be getting confused with being over 20. I’m confident and I don’t carry myself like I’m lacking self esteem or desperate for a much old man’s attention.

My friends are always getting approached by guy in our age range, honestly it’s starting to makes me jealous and wonder what’s wrong with me! What can I do to attract guys my age?

Men across the board are attracted to younger women. You're of an age now where pretty much every guy alive is attracted to you. It's important not to squander that temporary wealth in opportunity.

However, it's possible that you look isn't especially appealing to guys in your age group. You may just be an average looking girl to them, and they don't pursue you. However, even if you are average looking older guys will be attracted to your youth and freshness; so, if you're not interested in them you may have to go some years without being pursued by people you're interested in.

I mean I’m above average as in, I’ve been told that by guys I’ve spoken to my age on multiple occasions but that’s long after I’ve gotten to know them under different circumstances. I don’t get approached or spoken to guys my age despite this.

And even average looking women get approached on the regular by guys in their same age range because obviously like wen not all men are gonna be super crazy attractive. So that doesn’t even really make sense in never getting approached right?

My first question would be are you overlooking approaches by guys? Do you have guys in your friendzone who have made jokes about dating, etc?
My second question would be, taking your assertion to be correct (you're as attractive as other girls your age), what do you think is different in the way you present than your friends who do get approached by guys? Clothing? The expression you have? The place you go?

well for starters, you can't force attraction but you can repel attraction by being horrible to others.

"What can I do to attract guys my age?" I don't know? maybe dress sluttier?

I'm assuming you're dressing very modestly and that is very appealing to older men who are looking for a wife to love, not a casual hookup they can use for easy sex and discard.

I mean I’m not dressing slutty or modest, I’m just dressing normally. And I really don’t believe all young’s guys are just looking for hookups because then no one my age would relationships and I see couples all the time.

your pool of ideal candidates in your mind is limited. perhaps expanding that? maybe you don't want to but you'll just have to accept what you've got

well that's how it is. you can't change who is and who isn't attracted you. I'm just saying if you want to wield more options, you'll have to adopt the male strategy that has been used for centuries.

Older guys will generally have less fear of approaching, and many younger women do date them, so they figure "Why not ask?" Younger guys might have been subjected to so much #MeToo stuff that they are afraid to approach unless the girl approaches them first.

🤣🤣🤣 That's like guys asking "how can I get attractive not ugly fat girls to approach me". Most young guys don't know what they want or want to commit to anything.

All you can do is be worthy of being approached. Maybe your friend is really attractive and you're kind of leftovers. Maybe try hanging out with uglier girls that way it'll give you the appearance of being more attractive.

You're calling 3 years older? That's interesting as that IS your age range. Most people marry within 5 years up or down.

But to get more guys to ask you on dates, be friendly to guys. Laugh at their jokes (no matter how bad), shoulder swat, ask a TON of questions about their interests, and try to get their number. Once you have the number, text them frequently, but not every flipping waking moment. The later you text the more likely you'll get them to say something flirtatious.

I am going places with guys my age though. I’ll go to public places with tons of guys my age I’ll see them and I’ll still only get hit on by old men.

Probably mainly because guys your age are more shy and if you are above average they have no ideea how to get into a conversation with you, not really your fault

Just be patient and take really good care of yourself worst case scenario you wait until college and focus on private life until then so yeah... don't overeact you won't be single all your life you should be more concerned about the ideea to be happy then single.
