What do you think this means? Does it mean he wants a serious relationship with me or is he just being polite?
At face surface: he needs a plus one, or date, for his sister's wedding.
But he wouldn't have asked you if he didn't like you, or wasn't attracted to you. Nonetheless, don't read too much into it! He might be inviting you because he needed a date or person to go with him: it doesn't necessarily mean he wants a relationship!

If you are attractive, guys might invite for social status reasons. I know some guys don't want to be seen alone at social events, and will look for attractive girls to bring, even if they aren't closely dating with each other. But it could also be a signifier of a happy and growing relationship.
Don't read too much into it yet. I've been to weddings as the plus one, and sometimes a relationship resulted but sometimes it didn't.

My dream is go to wedding with a boyfriend and a guy would run far away from me if I say the word wedding no guy ever had gone to a family party with me as a boyfriend let alone any wedding 😓😓😓 I don't know how girls get any guy magically to fast attend weddings with her or family parties I don’t understand!!!
Uhm... don't read anything into it. If he's dating you, who else is he going to take? You've spent nearly every day together.
You're his girlfriend. So that's why he invited you. There's nothing more than that. You'll dance, you'll kiss. You'll probably have fun.
More than likely he wants a Relationship with you.
