Have you been in a matriarchal/female-led family? If so, what was it like?

My mom and dad actually had equal power in their marriage. So I'm not asking because of my own experiences; It's actually due to my friend. Also, I am giving my friends nicknames to protect their identities. First, I'm gonna talk about my best friend who I talk about Yu-Gi-Oh with, "Coyote".

Coyote's parents were the same as mine. However, he has 5 younger siblings, and the oldest one, Wolf, is the matriarch out of these 6 kids. Coyote was passive and laid back, while his little sister Wolf was always a natural leader. She would always order around the other kids when work had to be done, and make sure everyone was pulling their weight.

But Wolf isn't just an effective leader. She's a good one--morally. Wolf is always respectful to any of her subordinates, and she's reasonable. She never asks too much of anyone, and she makes smart decisions. By contrast, her and Coyote's parents lack common sense, and would often give Coyote an unneseccarily long list of jobs to do, which I've gotten angry at them for doing.

And Wolf knows about me, since he talks about his social life a lot. Lucky for me, Wolf is dominant in her romantic relationships too, and she finds me attractive. If we actually got together and it got to the point where we had a family together, it would DEFINITELY be a matriarchy.

But wouldn't be like those sitcoms where a nagging wife is browbeating her weak husband. And she wouldn't be like a lot of female bosses in the workplace, acting like she's got a chip on her shoulder. She'd be serious and strict when something needs to be done, but she'd still be respectful toward everyone and reasonable. So if we actually had a family together, Wolf would be a great head of the household.

So I'm asking if anyone here has ever been in a matriarchal family/a family where the female (s) were dominant. If so, what was it like?
