Well, duh. In the "ooold old days" people were farmers and gatherers that lived to be ~40 years. Today's postindustrial people use their first 25 years for education, school and college alone.
Listening such people is a mistake... but the reason is teen pregnancy is dangerous for her health and that was reason many girls died in past so it must be definitely after 21 only when her body is ready to concieve a baby.
My brother's father-in-law even complained once about him taking too long for finally marrying his daughter whilst in his generation people had kids in school age already. I mean God, be glad he even decided to marry her. 🙄
Many things that are common are mistakes. We call it a mistake today, just as it was a mistake then.

Maybe you know something I don't, but it wasn't common. In medieval Europe, for instance, teenage marriage was common but it wasn't the kind of marriage we have now, it was purely political. Most women didn't have babies until their late teens/early twenties, and it was usually rich people who could afford teen pregnancies.

You're confused.
If the teen isn't married or in a stable relationship, then it can only be a mistake. Plus life expectance now is 70's
In the past, teens would be married or too busy working, as life expectancy was only their 40's

People married a lot younger back then too they weren't just popping out babies because humping was something cool to do
Lol Fr. Although people nowadays think it’s cool 💀
Death during childbirth was also common in "the old days." Are you okay with that, too?
you forget that people did not live as long back then.
You were married at 16, dead at 35.

Because it is a mistake, same as drinking contaminated water full of cholera. That was also common back in the day.

common or old... doesn't necessarily make things right
Because those teens would be married in the old days, and shot gun wedding aren't really a thing any more.
I see many arranged marriages. Maybe not with a shotgun against their will. But, still arranged.
@Quigly there is a big difference between arranged and shotgun weddings
A shotgun wedding is an arranged marriage.
@Quigly a shot gun married is when a man gets a girl pregnant and is forced to marry her, it’s not the same thing

And by late teens I mean young adults.
Because there are condoms, birth control etc to prevent pregnancy now. Abortion is not a contraceptive
It’s because today women are supposed to spend their most fertile years partying and working for a boss rather than raising a family.
Because women are more than baby factories nowadays.
Not really, they are subsidized baby farmers. They don't care to have a family at all. Just pop the kids out with whatever guy gets suckered.
Olden days you didn’t have to worry about insurance, skyrocketing rent/food, a decent job to support
Actually we believe history shouldn't repeat itself
It still is a mistake in most cases. I think it is more common today.
Because back then it was practical with the common traditions and lifestyle.
it's NEVER ok. they only accepted it back then, because they didn't know better
teen pregnancy, is wrong
