I'll go first, I do not want to have Kids not because I hate kids I do not hate kids in fact I love them😊!. And I totally do experience baby fever🥺 But I'm scared of what this world would do to my child😔, this world is cruel and I may not be able to protect my child from it's cruelty.
Also I may pass on anxiety and depression onto my kid because it runs in my family!. I just don't want my kid to suffer so I'd rather not have a child that way I have less to worry about in my life. Look at Honey bun🥺💗
Nope, I don't find them cute, also they are too much work, also they smell horrid and they break things and cost a fortune to raise compared to pets, and I hate teaching people to do basic things like talking or pooping on the toilet, and I don't want to be woken up at 3am to a baby crying, that noise is the absolute worst, also I would have no time to do everything I like, and I hate censoring myself.
I do like having cats though, and things that live in tanks.
I'm not going to say I'd be against it. But at 46 the think that window is about all but closed. It makes me scratch my head when I see women on dating sites in their mid 50's with their profiles saying "want children". I don't know if they not fully embracing the reality of their age or what.
I hear ya, Well the beauty of this era is that there are a lot of options that help people who want kids to have kids despite age, but yeah if you are like 50+.. raising a kid is going to be a huge struggle, kids are a handful and when you age you may not be equipped to handle their "handfulness" to the best of your ability. and also mortality, the older you get the closer to death you are thats the reality of life! you may not live long enough to see where your child will end up.
But hey my grand ma had my mom at 50+ and she's still alive, my mom is 40+ now and her and her mom are the best of friends! this shows anything is possible even having and raising a kid at 50+. sometimes you really can get what you want!.

Yeah. I'm not disputing anything g you're saying. I have a ladyfriend who's about 50. She's a great mom. But she's got twins and she's got a weight problem to boot. I'm not talking a couple of vanity lbs. She's like supermom. I don't know where she finds the energy. And I like to think I'm in good shape but watching her tires me out lol. So I know love and commitment is the most important thing. I'm just saying, well like you said it's harder when you're older. And since I was talking about online dating. You're trying to figure out whether the person you're engaging in correspondence with is a realistic person lol.
No ways I totally hear where your coming from I really do!, that 50 year old lady with twins is wow amazing!, Also every action we make has downsides, Like my mom had a rough childhood because her mom was old, she told me about how she would run home after school as a kid because she was scared her parents would have died of old age!, she also mentioned how she would envy all her friends who had younger moms and envy how her friends had no worries about their parents dying of old age!, and then my mom got pregnant at 19 while in college and had me at 20 because she wanted to be the "young mom", she sure did struggle with that decision she took!
it was not easy for her to be a young mom, she wished she waited till she was in her late 20's or 30's. she struggled but she did her best to raise me! and I whole heartedly appreciate it!.
it's very important to be realistic in life, being an elderly parent is going to be super difficult and we can't sugar coat that fact. parenting is no child's play its hard! you need to ensure that you become a parent when you are ready to put yourself last at all times and your kid first at all times!.
If you love kids and experience baby fever, I encourage you to reconsider how you’re thinking of having kids. People have had children during times of war, incredible poverty, and unspeakable hardship throughout human history. Sure, there are problems. Our civilization is in decline. But on the other hand, children are the hope for solving the problems and overcoming the challenges. We should not have children so they can enjoy comfort (and give up if comfort is increasingly difficult to come by), but for the sake of family itself and to raise people who can bring order to chaos and contribute to human flourishing.
You raise some great points, but I am definitely not going to have any children, I love them yes but being a mom is not my calling, I am terrified of passing on any mental illnesses to my kids and I am not cut out to deal with the hardships of being a parent. There's a lot more I would love to do with my life than to be a parent, and having decided that I do not want kids has felt like a huge weight lifted on my shoulders, for me this decision was freeing! I have other things to worry about in this life of mine. I'll have pets one day, I'll adopt puppies and take care of those and I'm looking forward to that even!. and thanks a lot for mentioning this!
I think it’s very difficult when mental illness is involved, so your decision is understandable. And I definitely think it is possible to have a meaningful life without having children. It might seem odd, but I suggest trying to avoid seed oils, processed foods, and minimize social media. These things are recent innovations to humans are not adapted and might contribute to mental stress.
I babysit and I love it, but I don't think that I would like to have kids of my own, I don't know. It's weird. I'd rather get a dog and let that be my baby.

I know. With mass shootings. With convicted sex offenders reading to kids dressed up in clown outfits. Just a sick world. Our illegitimate president sniffing kids on live TV and gets away with it
But i suppose its always been a cruel, sick world throughout history, but people kept having kids regardless, so all you can do is raise your child the best way you can and pray that God helps you!
some people who love their pets consider them to be their animal kids so i don't know why me specifically saying human kids is such a big issue! i did this so that y'all would know exactly what i am taking about!

I understand, I remember being a kid and looking back at that experience now that I am older I can honestly say that all that mattered to me was seeing that my parents were doing their best to raise me within their means. I think all other kids are the same way, what we all we want is for our parents to do the best that they can for us within their means.
its a common lingo that i have heard many pet owners say that's why I specifically said human kids so that everyone knows exactly what i am talking about!
