Would you be open to be friends with someone who has cerebral palsy?

I got cerebral palsy, and I got no social life because of it. I've always had very difficult to make friends as I've been experiencing a lot of bullying while growing up. Also I've noticed people are uncomfortable with having something with me to do because of my physical behavior and special needs

I got bullied a lot, too, just for being tall. Basically, the bullies are just showing the world how little intelligence they have! Isn't it usually the smart people that make friends with you?
In school, I was usually one of the ones that treated other "different" kids like ordinary people.

I'm sorry to hear that. What mostly made people in school bully me was mostly because the sounds and uncontrollable movements I make, and that I'm special needs

Sorry to hear that! Some people are just immature assholes. We had one kid in school that was a thalidomide baby. His right arm never grew beyond the size it was when he was born and t was sort of backwards but he was one of the bullies and all the other bullies hung out with him! He even made fun of some of the other special needs kids!! Like, my guitarist's twin brother who had some kind of condition where his legs were constantly bent. Nearly all the kids in their family were disabled in some way. I think John''s only problem was that he had this huge brownish spot on his forehead. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong with him but, a couple of his siblings spent their whole life in a wheelchair.
I think Tom Au just had some kind of nervous affliction, otherwise, he was a VERY smart guy!! But, almost all the other kids teased him mercilessly!! Especially in the gym locker room when he was naked!
Another kid, I knew from Kindergarten and there was something a bit odd about his arms, like, the elbows bent the wrong way, or something like that but, he was always one of the bullies!! My parents switched me to another school after 3rd grade because of his and other kids' bullying of me but, by the time I got into high school, there he was, again!!

In 5th or 6th grade, we were having an assembly and it was some sort of presentation about people sort of like you and how they are still capable of doing lots of stuff even though they're in a wheelchair. Towards the end of the presentation, the speaker brought out someone in a wheelchair onto the stage and, for some reason, they had him wear a huge paiper mache Charlie Brown head and we were allowed to ask questions. Everyone was quite civil to this person until one kid in the balcony, Jim Haiashi, yelled down, "How long do your batteries last?" Everyone in the audience told him to shut up and booed the hell out of him! Maybe Jim needed some to get his brain working again! The kid with the fake head on started crying so, they wheeled him off the stage and ended the assembly!!

I'm very ashamed to say that when I was a kid, I probably wouldn't want to be, primarily out of fear of also being bullied as a result (I wasn't exactly popular either), but also because something like that would've been off-putting for me.

While I still have some of those insecurities in me, I'd be fine with having a friend with cerebral palsy now.

Can you play video games with that?

No I wouldn't care. All I care about, is personality and compatibility when it comes to selecting friends.

You'll make some friends. Don't worry. Many people don't mind/care about things like this. I can understand you faced lot of difficulties while growing up because lot of kids are just stupid they get mean when they don't understand something or when they are jealous. So, they were incapable of understanding your behaviour and needs. It's okay, you don't want to people like them in your life anyway. As you grow older, you'll definitely meet some really good people who are mature and would like to be friends with you

Absolutely. To me friendship is beyond all differences. The only thing that matters is that we have a sense of respect towards each other, are nice to each other and get along. :)
