I’m a senior and he’s one too, we have the same class and we both are in the same group because our personalities matched in a survey quiz and I’ve been crushing on him but I also want to be his friend and keep in mind this guy isn’t shy, or maybe he just doesn’t know how to talk to girls? But I do consider myself attractive but that doesn’t really mean anything and he doesn’t seem shy when talking to other girls but when it comes to me he doesn’t say much but he did laugh to my jokes a couple of times, I made him laugh and I really liked that but the thing is I do sit next to him but he seems stiff and tense around me I don’t know why but he seems uninterested and in general he seems uninterested with anyone at all but I really want to be his friend and ask for his number because I’m moving to another area and I feel I’ll regret it if I don’t ask him for his number but I also think if I do ask him he’ll be like “why do you want my number” he’s the direct type of guy, I mean I like that but it also puts me in a spot where I have to be direct as well so I’m afraid of making him uncomfortable as a girl I don’t want to make him feel rushed or out of place so I’m not sure what to do
Just ask for his number. Tell him he makes you laugh and you don't want to lose touch. Trust me, as a guy we would be happy for a lady to ask for our number. Don't over think this... Just do it. Good luck!

Start with what he likes and go from there. Most people love talking about themselves. Get him talking

Yeah it is weird, as is putting your age down as 63
no just ask him to call your phone as you was hoping for a call and want to test your phone but no credit on yours
Just ask for his number. You have nothing to lose.
