Maintain eye contact when you talk. Smile when she smiles, even if just a little. Be genuinely interested.
I always try to, sometimes the fact that a girl is just willing to chat to me makes me smile

Yes! i love being approached or approaching in coffee shops. It's so easy to get a conversation going there. Plus the mood is set and you have the music going on in the background. And it's perfect.
That's where I wish I'd be approached but men never do it. That would be the ideal place in my opinion.
