Why would he suddenly start talking to me?

This guy is vain, conceited, and is a bit of a jack*ss when he's p*ssed off. He loves showing off and is good-looking and popular. When I first came in 3 months ago, he has never looked at me, talked to me, said hi, introduced himself, etc. but since 2 weeks ago I've been staying @ a student accommodation where his best mate also stays. Ever since the first night, we've been hanging out after school almost everyday playing PS3 and talking (brief conversations only though). A few days before and since that night he's been saying "hi, " and says my name A LOT when we talk/when he says hi. After spending time with him/hanging out with me I've developed feelings for him. After getting to know him, he's really nice and friendly after all (he's still vain though haha). Why would he suddenly talk to me and saying hi to me almost all the time, saying my name all the time, etc. when in the past he didn't even want to get to know me?

And he's the only guy who does this. I have other guys but they're just acquaintances in this school and they've added me on facebook.

Am I reading too much into this and is he talking to me cause he wants to be friendly and nice or does he actually have interest in me?

let me ask a question are you pretty enough that someone might think your looks may be intimadating to them. remember beauty is in the eyes of the beholder so even if you think your average looking he may think your a lot higher than you believe yourself to be.

also maybe being that he may be the type of guy he is he finally decided to at least approach .

if he's popular and all and acts this way always be careful to many girls get caught up with popularity /good looks and things of that sort then gets mistreated badly .

rules I share with girls on picking guys it takes some time to determine this and requires some detective or observation to determine this.

1. how does he treat others in general ?(poorly or well)

2. how does he treat other girls classmates (poorly or well)

3. how does he treat female family members (poorly or well)

4. how did he treat past gf's if known ask them(?poorly or well)

(poorly = physical or verbally treat them did he bad mouth them to others or to you)

(well = always treats people like he'd want to be treated)

to the above questions if you get any poorly's at all in some cases that is exactly how he'll treat you

ok .. first I think he is sayin hi now cause he just noticed you because of his friend.. and I guess you are now a friend 2 ... I do think you are reading a little bit to much into it but maybe you are not ... keep playin along.. say hi and stuff, if he likes you he should make the first move... until them just stay chill be yourself and dnt stress about this .. keep making new friends if nothing happens with him then who cares you have another friend ;)

ps: love the he's really nice and friendly after all (he's still vain though haha).

He probably didn't notice you much in the beginning, and just started talking to you now because there's been the opportunity to talk, and he seems to think you're an interesting person. I'm really not sure if he's really into you, but if you think he's vain and conceited, that's not usually a good thing.

Keep doing what you're doing and see where it goes. Freaking out about it isn't going to help, and you might want to think about if you like him because he's a nice person or because he's been paying attention to you. (I've been in that same boat before)

Probably a friend of a friend is a friend situation. He never previously felt the need to talk to you, but since you started hanging out with his mate he thinks it would probably be worth it if he did. Since he still hangs out with you I guess he at least likes your personality, but don't see it as too much more unless he is explicit. Guys like that have a way with women it's easy the get the wrong end of the stick.
