One of my online friends wanted to add me on another social media app to, in his words, "strength our bond" and sends me stuff occasionally. In our group chat I was teasing him and changed his name to "X loves poop" but he changed it to "X loves Y (me)". I told him I felt complimented, and since then he had kept that name for a month now.
He asks me to stream the games I play almost everyday, and asks me to play a game with him. We do not PM each other, before he use to feel awkward playing a game with me by ourselves but now he seems very comfortable and happy. He even wants to chat to me on voice call while we play games, which is nice!
I have viewed him as a friend since the start but since he kept his nickname, I have been suspicious. What do you think?

It's possible that your online friend has developed feelings for you beyond just friendship, given the way he has been acting and the things he has said. However, it's also possible that he is just being friendly and enjoys spending time with you.
If you're unsure about his intentions or how you feel about him, it may be helpful to have an open and honest conversation with him. Ask him how he feels about your relationship and whether he sees you as more than just a friend. Share your own thoughts and feelings as well.
It's important to remember that online relationships can be complicated and it can be difficult to accurately gauge someone's feelings without meeting them in person. Take things slow and communicate openly with each other to avoid misunderstandings or hurt feelings.
I think your suspicions are valid. 😅
