I had a dream that boyfriend was ignoring me? Meaning?

We've been going out for 2 months now. I'm his first girlfriend. Everything is going pretty good. I over think a lot and can't really believe that someone actually likes me. It's still hard to believe. He's sweet and a gentleman.

Dream: (Trying to remember) I was hanging with boyfriend and he left for a while to get something I think...but I remember my ex boyfriend came over. He started flirting with me but I believe I was also trying to make my boyfriend jealous or I was just flirting with him as well. Ex put his arm around me and my boyfriend came in and saw and I went after him saying "It's not what it looks like! He was flirting with me!" My boyfriend said "Go away slut. I don't want to talk to you ever again". So he would ignore me and I would try to get his attention but he would still ignore me. It really saddened me. I had another dream that he ignored me but I forgot really what happened.

one can only infer symbolism from this type of dream. it doesn't have the typical triggers (falling, death, being lost, etc).

I'd say, if pressed to analyze this... that there is a part of you that feels unappreciated or unattended to by your boyfriend. in trying to get his attention (flirting with the ex) you got a negative response which was his ire and him ignoring you even more.

If your natural inclination is to question how people truly feel I'd imagine that your flirtation was an attempt to see if he'd chase you but ultimately you ended up chasing him once he ignored you.

I don't think there is any real life correlation to your relationship only your own personal feelings of potentially being inadequate but I don't think it says anything about your boyfriend or your relationship. Simply put it's a reflection of your anxiety that he may not truly like you and if pressed (by flirting with an ex to get his attention) that he would retreat rather than chase you
