Others give them a good scrubbing and keep them white. Generally the two types don't get on.
Do you clean your tea cups?

I don't drink tea, but I drink coffee every day.
I make it in a 24 oz French press and pour it into two 12 oz travel cups with sippy lids.
Sometimes I stir a small amount of hot coco powder into the cups and add a bit of cold whole milk to make the drink richer and cool it off enough to drink.
When I'm done, I dump the grounds in a container to be put in the garden later. Then I just give the pot and cups a quick rise under the faucet. I never wash them. I just rinse the spoon, too, and put it with the handle down in a special cup on the counter for future use.
🤢🤮🤮
I have pretend tea parties with Rick Astley. I use plastic cups that don't actually have tea in them. We talk about boobs and orgasms.
Eww... I didn't want to imagine some people not bothering to scrub them.. They're meant to be cleaned with liquid dishwashing gel (or bar) and wash thoroughly. I always make sure to fill the mug and cups in water for few minutes to make the cleaning process easier and then use dishwashing gel to scrub it with before washing it couple of times and taking a look whether there's still some stain left.
I drink both coffee and tea.
I'll keep the same cups for 2-3 days and just rinse in between. Never had a cup look anything like the one above and it makes me wonder how long people just let their cups sit out when done using them.

Not a good idea to leave your cup dirty. I always wash my cups. On the other hand, I heard from a Chinese tea specialist that the tea pot should never be cleaned thouroughly; only rinsed with plain water, indeed to keep some flavours to the benefit of next tea sessions. A tea pot in all logic will only contains tea and water, while a cup can have contained anything.
All of my cups and mugs are cleaned to keep them white, whether they are used for tea or coffee or something else (cocoa, hot chocolate...), and whether they are washed by hand or in the dishwasher.
Dishwasher makes them white inside. I guess those Brits who like brown tea cups don't like white teeth either, because of aroma.
I wash tea and coffee cups in the dishwasher, so they come out clean. If there are remnants of a stain, that doesn't bother me.
that looks gross! the secret is after each tea rinse soon.
I use a little bleach in my tea cups to keep it from staining.
I drink neither coffee or tea, and water doesn't leave much of a stain.
i do not have tea cups. If i did i would scrub them white.
Always wash dishes, thoroughly with soap and hot water
ungodly...
Just a simple rinse, save water you knew
LMAO that's the best cup ever
I won't drink out of a dirty cup
Need to wash the shit out of it.
I always keep them thoroughly clean. :)
Rinse well, stains are fine, it's just tea
